Mending the Line explores the hidden impact of cumulative trauma, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation on first responder relationships. Drawing from neuroscience, attachment theory, and real-world experience, this talk provides practical tools to rebuild connection, improve communication, and restore emotional safety at home. When the nervous system learns to regulate, relationships can begin to repair. Mending the Line integrates interpersonal neurobiology, attachment science, and trauma-informed care to address relationship strain in first responder families. Participants will gain insight into autonomic nervous system patterns, emotional reactivity, and communication breakdown, and leave with actionable tools to restore connection, co-regulation, and relational resilience.
